Youth On the Land Camps
Our Youth On-the-Land Camps create a welcoming space for Indigenous children and youth to connect with the land, culture, community, and one another.
Guided by Indigenous facilitators, Elders, and Knowledge Keepers, youth experience cultural teachings, outdoor adventure, land stewardship, leadership, and opportunities to strengthen their social and emotional wellness.
We offer camps through out the year for ages 6-25 and include time outdoors, shared meals, circles, teachings, laughter, and adventure.
Adult On the Land Camps
Our Adult On-the-Land Camps offer opportunities to step away from everyday life and reconnect with land, culture, community, and self.
These gatherings honour the wisdom carried within our communities and recognize our responsibility as caretakers of the land and water. Together, we create space to slow down, strengthen relationships, learn from one another, and experience the healing that comes through connection to land and culture.
Camps Rooted in Community
We recognize that every Nation and community carries its own knowledge, teachings, traditions, relationships, and connection to the land. Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all approach, Rise Up works alongside communities to shape camps around their unique priorities, strengths, and hopes. Whenever possible, local Elders, Knowledge Keepers, cultural leaders, and community members help guide the experience so that each gathering is grounded in the people, culture, and land where it takes place.
